
Prof. Dr. Sc. Andrey A. Rempel is corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), head of a research group at the Institute of Solid State Chemistry, Ural Branch of the RAS in Ekaterinburg, Russia and holds a professor position at the Ural Federal University (UrFU) in Ekaterinburg (Chair of Glass Technology since 2002 and Chair of Physical techniques for quality control since 2010).
He is an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow (1992), Max Planck Society Honorary (1998,1999,2000,2001) and held visiting professorships at Studiencentrum voor Kernenergie, Mol, Belgium (2002, 2004, 2005), Graz University of Technology Graz, Austria (2003, 2016) and University of Erlangen-Nuremberg Germany (2009).
His speciality is on: Solid State Chemistry, Solid State Physics, Materials Science, Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology. His current research interests cover the field of synthesis of oxide, sulfide and carbide nanoparticles, characterization of their micro- and atomic structure, and measurements of their physical properties for future applications.
He is also Co-author of 6 monographs in Russian and 2 monographs in English and above 200 scientific papers in well recognized international journals.
